UNDER THE SEA

Under the Sea. The Little Mermaid.
What´s down at the bottom of the sea?
Maybe not a frog or a fly, but lots of other stuff !

It´s a song from Disney´s 1989 animated film.
Let´s sing the lyrics.

Be part of the adventure to get to know what´s under the sea.
This pretty song is a good example of Calypso Music. Let´s watch the way they play the Caribbean steel drums.
Calypso Music is a style of Afro-Caribbean music that  was originated in Trinidad and Tobago during the early to mid-20th century.
Its rhythms can be traced back to west African Kaiso and the arrival of French planters and their slaves from the French Antilles in the 1700s.

MUMMIFICATION

MUMMIFICATION.
The Ancient Egyptians developed a method of preserving bodies so they would remain lifelike.
Today we call this process mummification.
The process included embalming the bodies and wrapping them in strips of linen.

Eliciting our children to Egypt, The Land of the Nile and its cultural heritage from the time of the Pharaohs.

DIVERSITY DAY

Diversity Day.
Tackling with this topic we'll bring along plenty of materials and resources to work on Multiculturalism and Tolerance.
Pattern Hand Project.
We ´re learning about oatterns in art, music, maths, language and arts and crafts.
We hope you enjoy this issue, and make the most of it.
Students added on the hands the patterns of their choice.
Then they cut them out.
They were finally lightly glued down to create this colourful flower: the dandelion.
Uxía with her hand
Inés and her finished hand
Pablo smiling proudly with his hand
Martin showing off his almost toothless smile!!
Brais and Antía working on their hands
Emma smiling with her beautifully different hand!
Tolerance means willingness to allow people to do, say, or believe what they want without criticizing them.
Now, we want you to sing along with us this catchy song called "Everyone is Different",sung by Lanny Sherwins.
