THE LAND OF THE PHARAOHS

The Land of the Pharahos.
First grade students are having plenty of entertainment dealing with our last term scenario: ANCIENT EGYPT.
To start with, I want you to watch these videos about the Egyptian Pharaohs.



To foster your active participation I ask you to pay attention to the following vocabulary.
Desert.
Camel.
Oasis.
River Nile.
Nile river boat.
Palm trees.
Crocodile.

MUMMIFICATION

MUMMIFICATION.
The Ancient Egyptians developed a method of preserving bodies so they would remain lifelike.
Today we call this process mummification.
The process included embalming the bodies and wrapping them in strips of linen.


Eliciting our children to Egypt, The Land of the Nile and its cultural heritage from the time of the Pharaohs.
This video shows  in some detail the mummification process.
