EGYPTIAN DAILY LIFE

Second graders will deep into ancient Egypt life all along this first school term.
This video provides plenty of knowledge about that period.
In Arts and Crafts we´ll carry on with Egyptian jewerly.
At the moment we´re focusing our attention on necklaces.

Our beautiful Egyptian kids modeling their awesome pectorals.

Can´t help to love those happy faces!

Our amazing assistant Alma and Emma

In Ancient Egypt they were named "pectorals".
This form of jewellery was mostly worn by rich people and the pharaoh himself.
Statements in Egyptian language hieroglyhs were used as an adorment on the pectorals.

WALK LIKE AN EGYPTICIAN

This term, in the art room, our theme was Ancient Egypt.
" Walk like an Egyptian", this song was released in 1986 by the American group "The Bangles".
It made number 1 in the U.S. and number 3 in the UK.
After this challenging piece of dance performed by Michel Jackson , I want you to try this other easier choreography to enjoy your Music and Arts and Crafts  lessons.
Have a look at the following pics, then you  could realise how happy your children  are feeling at school !

The first graders created Egyptian collar necklaces and gave this magical performance.

The play was a ton of fun and a huge hit.
They lit up the room with their excitement and enthusiasm.
