In Ancient Egypt masks were primarily used for two purposes: as death masks and as ritual masks.
The soul had to be able to recognize the body so it can return to it.
For that reason they used death masks.
Death mask were made in the likeness of the deceased.
First graders were doing their best to give the dead a face in the afterlife.
They´ve got the Egyptian feeling !
These masks look really fancy !
